March 24 was Dorothy Height’s 97th birthday. To celebrate our living legend, who is the president emerita of the National Council of Negro Women, join the Council.

The Foundation has partnered with NCNW to provide “safe spaces” for women under 35 and older women to discuss what is on their minds through the We Are Listening initiative. Dr. Height commented on the mentoring aspect of We Are Listening, “I think older people have a responsibility not only for sharing our history, but also recognizing the new changes and the new things to which we have to adapt and move forward.”
Since We Are Listening’s launch in November, 1800 women have joined the NCNW.
